We took a ride out to the kreuzberg kloster over my birthday weekend. It was an easy autobahn drive that has some gorgeous views. The kloster is an old monastery where the monks have been brewing beer for hundreds of years. There is also a nice cafeteria with great Bavarian food. We did think we would be able to see more of the actual monastery itself but we did not. You can actually rent a room there and stay overnight as well. The grounds looked amazing though. The day we went was snowy and cold but there were loads of people out sledding and skiing (and walking back up). There are also trails that I want to go back an explore in the spring when it gets a bit warmer. One of the days highlights for me though was the drive out. It was right at sunset and the clouds has all settled into the valley – it looked truly magical!
